10 BIOPAP® FACTS!
1) PACKED BY MOTHER NATURE - SUSTAINABLE RAW MATERIALS
The production of the BIOPAP® tray is almost entirely based on renewable raw materials, thus conserving finite resources. The packaging cellulose comes from FSC®/PEFC™ certified upstream suppliers and 100% from European forests.
2) COMPOSTABLE AND THEREFORE DEGRADABLE IN 90 DAYS.
The BIOPAP® tray is compostable according to European standard EN 13432 and is therefore degradable in 90 days. It is possible to discard the BIOPAP® tray with the organic waste if the regional waste statutes allow it.
3) NO-WASTE - RESOURCE-SAVING IN ALL AREAS
The entire BIOPAP® manufacturing process is material- and energy-optimized. For example, the manufacturer uses electricity from renewable sources and recycles chads back into its paper production. This results in minimal waste.
4) LASTIC DOESN'T GET INTO OUR CARDBOARD!
BIOPAP® trays are made almost entirely of cellulose - with no plastic film/PET sheet. The inside of the trays is coated with a special coating - similar to baking paper. This shiny, smooth surface is not plastic!
5) (FORM) STABLE!
BIOPAP® trays are temperature resistant and can be prepared in a traditional oven (at 150 °C to 175 °C), in a hot air oven (at 140 °C) as well as in any standard microwave oven (at 800 or 1000 watts).
